The Standard for Safety
Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) comes standard on many new Toyota vehicles and is designed to protect you and your passengers. TSS includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams, Lane Tracing Assist, and Road Sign Assist.
Pre-Collision System
An integrated camera and radar system designed to help reduce the likelihood of colliding with a preceding car or pedestrian. Also available with bicyclist detection. It’s like having a second set of eyes for when things pop up unexpectedly.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
A high-tech cruise control using a radar behind the Toyota badge plus a camera on the windshield to adjust your speed, to help maintain a preset distance from the car in front of you. Also available with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
Lane Departure Alert
A camera on your windshield to alert you when you depart a lane without signaling. Models available with steering assist will actually help correct the vehicle back into the lane.
Automatic High Beams
A camera on your windshield to detect headlights and taillights of preceding vehicles toggling high and low beams to give you better visibility and to not compromise the visibility of others. Take the worry out of nighttime driving.
Lane Tracing Assist
Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and preceding vehicles to help keep your vehicle centered and in its lane. Available on TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5, and TSS. 2.5+ equipped vehicles.
Road Sign Assist
Road Sign Assist is a forward-facing intelligent camera designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display them on the MID.* *All vehicle actions must be driver-initiated and are not automated. Available on TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5, and TSS 2.5+ equipped vehicles.
